CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
(For Students entering Grade 10 in September 2007)
The requirements indicated in this chart are the minimum requirements for a student to attain a Certificate of Achievement. The requirements for entry into post-secondary institutions and workplaces may require additional and specific courses.

- English Language Arts 20-2 or 30-4
- Mathematics 10-3, 14, 30-4
- Science 20-4 or 14
- Social Studies 20-4 or 10-2
- Physical Education 10 (3 credits)
- Career & Life Management 20 (CALM) (3 credits)
- Religious Studies 15, 25, 35 (3 credits each for 15 and 35, 5 credits for 25)*
- *Required for Graduation at St. Joseph CHS
5 credits in
- a 30 level Knowledge and Employability occupational course
OR
- 30-Level Career and Technology Studies (CTS) courses
AND
5 credits in
- a 30-Level Knowledge and Employability Workplace Practicum course
OR
- a 30-Level Work Experience course2
OR
- 30-Level Green Certificate Course3
OR
5 credits in
- a 30-Level Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) course4
- Students may enroll in Workplace Practicum 36 with HSC3000 as a prerequisite.
- Students may enroll in Work Experience 35 without having Work Experience 15 and 25 as prerequisites.
- Green Certificate courses are offered only at the 30-level, for 6 or 5 credits.
- RAP courses require prerequisites and are in series of 15 24a, 25b, 25c, and 35a, each 5 credits.
