Mathematics (Calulator Information)

Math 9, Math 10-3, Math 10-4, Math 20-3, Math 20-4 require the use of a scientific calculator.  Any scientific calculator will do.

The Applied Math 30, Pure Math 30, Math 20-1, Math 20-2 and Math 10 Common courses require the use of a graphing calculator.  All students enrolled in these classes must have a calculator.  We recommend the TI-83 Plus or the TI-84 by Texas Instruments.  We have found this to be the easiest calculator for students to use.  This is the calculator that teachers have programs for, do demonstrations on and gear their instructions towards.

We understand that the purchase of graphing calculators is expensive.  However, students use the same calculator throughout high school.  We recommend you record the serial number and scratch your child’s name on the back in the the event that it is lost.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.
